Starting his musical journey at just 18 months old, he quickly progressed to playing gigs and producing tracks, becoming a pioneer of the UK rave scene in the late 80s and early 90s. Alongside DJ Lime, Slipmatt formed the influential duo SL2, known for iconic tracks like “On A Ragga Tip,” which achieved significant chart success. His enduring popularity is evident in his busy tour schedule and successful events like ‘Slip Back In Time’ in Ibiza. Slipmatt’s ability to blend new beats with classic rave anthems, coupled with his interactive approach to audiences, has kept him at the forefront of the industry. As he prepares to release his book “My Story (and How I Became a World Class DJ),” Slipmatt’s influence on the global dance music scene shows no signs of waning, solidifying his legacy as the true ‘Godfather of Rave.’
